Sawmill Loop Trail is located at Beltzville State Park in Carbon county Pa. It is a 1.25-mile loop trail and is fairly easy but can get tricky at some parts. Looping along the Sawmill Run Creek, the trail passes by mixed forest with large Eastern hemlocks, fields, a pond, and a forested swamp. There are several historical points of interest along this trail, such as several dams and the remnants of a water raceway for a grist mill. An abandoned slate quarry dates back to the 18th and 19th century . It is a clean trail with o trash and quiet as not many people are on the trail .It is a great trail to slowly get back into hiking if you haven't done it for a while and is a great trail to go on if your just getting into hiking . Here are some pictures I took on the trail on different seasons . And look around at the falls to see if you can spot the tree with the face on it .
