Just two months to go! On one hand that seems like a long time. But on the other, it’ll be here before you know it. And if you don’t do a few things to get ready for Christmas in October, December can get REALLY crazy!
BUY (OR MAKE) CHRISTMAS CARDS
If you didn’t buy your Christmas cards in January, get them now. And don’t forget to buy Christmas stamps early. Our post office often runs out before I’m ready to send my cards.
Finalize travel plans. You might be able to get some last minute holiday travel deals in November & December. But to be on the safe side, finalize and book all your Christmas travel by the end of October.
Begin making homemade gifts. If your planning on giving handmade gifts this year, October is a good month to start gathering supplies and setting aside time to make the gifts.
Book a Christmas card photo session. If you didn’t take pictures for your Christmas card during the summer, book a session with a photographer in the upcoming weeks.
Plan & shop for Christmas decor. Yes, you can start putting up Christmas decorations in October. Think about the items you already have and what you intend to buy.
Next week we will talk about getting ready for Thanksgiving
